Certificate II in Community Services Work

This is an introduction course to the general field of community services. The aim of this course is to provide training and skill development to allow access to a range of potential career paths within the Community Services Industry. This course can lead to further studies in the areas of child care, disability, aged care or youth work.




Certificate III in Aged Care Work

Workers in this occupational group work primarily in residential facilities under direct or regular supervision within clearly defined organisational guidelines and service plans. These workers carry out activities related to the maintenance of an individual’s personal care and/or other activities of living.

These workers report directly to a supervisor and are not responsible for other workers.

 
 

Certificate III in Disability Work

Workers in this occupational group work in the community and/or residential facilities under direct or regular supervision within clearly defined organisational guidelines and service plans. These workers carry out activities related to the maintenance of an individual’s personal care and/or other activities of living. These workers report directly to a supervisor and are not responsible for other workers.




Certificate III in Children’s Services

This qualification covers workers who use organisational policies, procedures and individual children’s profiles to plan activities and provide care to children, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes.

Depending on the setting, workers may work under direct supervision or autonomously. In some settings, the worker may also have limited supervisory responsibilities of volunteers.




Information Sessions

Information sessions are held every Tuesday and Friday at 10am, at our South Brisbane campus and run for approximately 45mins.  All potential students must attend one of these sessions as we go through all the details for the course, pricing, start date/times etc.  There is no need to book for these sessions but you must arrive at 10am sharp or the session will be closed off and you will need to attend the next one.
