A current student identification card issued by a Queensland institution will need to be presented to student administration on the day of training to be eligible for the student course fee.

This QLD Liquor Licensing Division approved course provides the participant with both theory and practical skills in the service and obligations of employees and patrons when dealing with alcohol.

This is a distance education unit which can be completed at  College Australia or at you home but is not facilitated.

This accredited course provides the participant with both theory and practical skills in the service and obligations of employees and patrons when dealing with gambling.

On completion of this subject you will be able to:

1. Provide responsible service of gambling by:

  • following procedures in accordance with Queensland legislation and the industry endorsed voluntary Queensland Responsible Gambling Code of Practice
  • communicating with the appropriate personnel on gambling ‑ related incidents, situations or compliance with the legislation and Code of Practice
  • maintaining accurate records of gambling ‑ related incidents and related staff action in accordance with the Code of Practice, and
  • ensuring gambling environmental features support responsible gambling policies.

 2. Provide information and assistance to customers about gambling by:

  • providing accurate player information to customers
  • responding appropriately to requests for information
  • following procedures for self‑exclusion requests in accordance with
  • legislation, the Code of Practice and confidentiality/privacy
  • understanding the nature of gambling activity and problem gambling
  • providing information on the potential risks of gambling and the help available
  • interaction with customers and the community on sensitive issues;
  • explaining and implement the exclusion procedures
  • understanding the importance of creating the correct physical gambling environment
  • managing proper financial transactions, and
  • ensuring advertising and promotional strategies are appropriate.

You can do both courses on site, in one day and we will present you with both certificates on the day. Please arrive 15 minutes to course start time. Late entry will not be permitted. Thank you.
