Guide to your international student application

1. Course Application

Apply for the course you want, either:

Prepare documents for your application, including:

    • A photo or scan of your valid passport; and
    • A recent English Language test with a minimum level of IELTS 5.5 (no individual band less than 5.0); and
    • Evidence of completing Year 12, WASSCE, GCE, IB, GED or equivalent; and
    • Be at least 18 years old before the commencement of your course.

2. Letter of Offer

If successful, you will receive a ‘Letter of Offer’.

This is a contract between you and College Australia. It sets out the course you will be enrolled in, enrolment conditions, the fees you need to pay, and the refund terms if you don’t complete your course. Further information is available on the International Student Information page.

To accept your offer, you must respond. Sign, scan and email the letter to

Confirmation of Enrolment

After you accept your Offer and pay your deposit, you will receive an ‘Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment’ (eCoE) by email. It will outline your course start date, end date and total course fees.

3. Visa Application

If you are applying for your Student Visa online through the Department of Home Affairs, you will need the details of your eCoE to lodge your application. If you are submitting a paper visa application, you must provide the eCoE prior to a visa being granted.
